Launched in April 2011 as JapanEcho.net, this is a multi-language website that aims to provide international readers with an accurate picture of the situation in Japan following the massive earthquake and tsunami that devastated northeastern Honshū on March 11, 2011.
The project is driven by the same spirit that inspired Japan Echo magazine, which for 37 years introduced informed Japanese opinion to the world. Our aim is to use this site to convey to a global audience a sense of how Japan will bounce back from the unprecedented circumstances it faces today.
